I believe that the brilliant Judge John Deed last week (Friday 3rd) seriously influenced the jurors. They were not sitting last Friday (a funeral) and the prosecution were quietly confident. Long deliberations tend to end when the bullies beat down the nervous over the days. My seven day trial had almost four days of deliberation. The episode showed the good Judge sitting on a jury and being the only one convinced the girl was innocent. Thanks to his persistence (very 12 Angry Men) they acquitted her and she was then discovered to be clearly innocent. Any juror watching would have determined to have a spine of steel if they felt Sion was Not Guilty. Just a theory but... The Media has a lot of influence these days!
