Lawyers using legal loopholes or precedents (often caused by cuts in legal aid) has expanded the criminal area of Attempting to Pervert the Course of Justice into the civil courts.

Penniless victims of fake claims (sadly, these days, most of us) have to pay fortunes to defend themselves even if the claims against them are proven false.

And bent lawyers offer No Win No Fee deals to the liars, getting a hefty chunk of any settlement.

It may not (yet) be a crime but it's a sin!
