As a result Chief Constables have to hire back retired, elderly officers, many of whom have no training at all in dealing with the abundance of fraudulent claims. Transport Police, Family Liaison Officers, Administrators, Traffic Wardens - all get brought back at huge expense.

And the result is - often rules get broken and laws get ignored by these geriatric bores, long past their sell-by dates.

So if it happens to you, examine everything closely and you'll find hundreds of breaches of discipline and even some criminal activities amongst the behaviour of the teams "investigating" your case.
