In a few days he will reveal that he is as horrified as anyone by the use of chemical weapons, will swear that Russia no longer makes it and will say his agents have tracked down the two lone rogue poisoners who turn out to be ISIS.

They somehow got hold of nerve gas - just like the disgraceful stuff being used in Syria by ISIS (claiming it is Assad and Russia).

And targeted two expatriate Russians to point the finger at Russia.

Russia will find these killers and punish them publicly.

He will reverse the expulsion of UK diplomats, saying he does not blame brain dead May (like any leader, he's delighted May and Trump are in charge in the West) and promises total co-operation - more than that; he has just received information that ISIS intends high profile targets in England and warns May to take precautions.

Incidentally, I suspect Putin IS responsible but is very clever.

And I would not be at all surprised to see huge escalation of nerve gas killings this summer - blamed on ISIS and probably including the Palace of Westminster.
